OSAKA, Japan — Mr. and Mrs. Tkao Ika, restaurant owners in Osaka, came to the Devine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in NHK Osaka Hall on Tuesday evening.
The couple said they were glad they decided to take the night off to see the show.
Mrs. Tkao, a Japanese dance performer with over 20 years' experience, said she admired the quality and the beauty of the Spectacular.
"Every segment is just perfect. Every movement and every facial expression of the dancers are soul-touching. As a dance lover, I really learned a lot from the show."
She said she found the dance drama, "The Power of Awareness" particularly impressive.
"When good people are persecuted, should we ignore it or lend a helping hand? It's a very important decision," she said. "Benevolence and compassion have no nationality."
Mrs. Tkao added that the ancient legends are so well presented in the form of dancing that Japanese audiences find it very easy to understand.
Her husband, Ika, said that many of his employees are Chinese, and that he would recommend this "wonderful show" to all of them.
