TOKYO—Kashiwazaki City Councilor Mr. Takao Miida attended the Divine Performance Arts Chinese Spectacular in Bunkyo Civic Hall, Tokyo, Japan, on Feb. 16. It is the second time that he has seen the Spectacular since the show was first performed in Japan in 2007.
"The more I watch the show, the more I feel the beauty of the traditional Chinese culture, the more I understand the inclemency of the Chinese Communist Party [CCP] in destroying traditional culture, and it is unforgivable," said Mr. Miida.
"Speaking in modern language, destroying the traditional culture is destroying human rights, so how could the CCP that destroys human rights host the Olympics, which take promoting peace as their mission?" Mr. Miida continued.
"After watching the show, I have a deep understanding that the CCP destroyed all ethical culture, whereas the Spectacular preserves the Chinese traditional culture, and blends modern style as well. It possesses the beauty of both "masculine" and "softness" that is beyond races and boundaries. To explain further, it is not an exaggeration to say it is the true Chinese culture embodying tradition, and developing."
Mr. Miida said, "It is logical and suitable to invite Divine Performance Arts to perform at the opening of the Beijing Olympics, which is supposed to let Chinese people feel proud and elated. I am waiting for the day that the Chinese nation recovers its origin."
