FRANKFURT—Company owner Marietta Wellmann from Wiesbaden, Germany, was invited to see the Shen Yun Chinese Spectacular by her friend and didn't know what to expect. She said she was expecting to see a circus.

"It was something absolutely different. A circus is more acrobatic, but this is quite … the costumes are very nice, the performance is very nice. You cannot say—it is absolutely something else," she said.

Her favorite performance was the drums because it brought Chinese history to the audience. She said, "The other things were also very nice, but this was something special … The drums are something very particular to bring a part of history to the people."

"I think this is a very good performance to bring to the people, something about China," she said, adding the show did well to bring Chinese history to people who did not know about China before. "I think it is a very good performance to show the people something from the country. How to bring it out is not easy."

She said enjoyed the digital backdrops and "The Risen Lotus" performance.

She would encourage her husband to see the show because he often travels to China. "I think it would be quite good for him," she said.

Mrs. Wellmann's company operates a cement industry, an automobile industry, drum motors, hydrolic motors, and pumps. It sells products in Europe and exports machinery parts to India as well.

Performed by Divine Performing Arts on Tour, the Shen Yun Chinese Spectacular will play three shows in Frankfurt before continuing on to Berlin and Hamburg. For other shows in the Divine Performing Arts world tour, please visit: www.shenyun.eu
