FRANKFURT—During its two-day run at Frankfurt's Jarhunderhalle (Century Hall), the Shen Yun Chinese Spectacular continues to enchant audiences with its portrayal of the best of China's 5,000-year culture.
Jan and Shango, two friends who attended Saturday's show, were no exception.
"I like it very much actually, it's very interesting — a nice combination of dance and music and performance. It's very colorful and very nice," said Jan, a reporter from Frankfurt.
This is my first time seeing it," said Shango, a student. "I like the show a lot, it's very colorful, beautiful, very well done. It's nice to see."
Jan said that he found the inner meaning of some of the programs easy to interpret.
"It's very clear because even though you don't understand the lyrics, for example when the woman sings you understand the message."
"I agree that the message is very clear, it's very well transmitted," said Shango.
Both said they would recommend the Spectacular to their friends and would definitely attend next year's production.
Daniella De Florio from Italy, works as a clinical researcher Frankfurt at pharmaceutical company, and she was also at today's showing.
“Even better than I expected -- Itīs really beautiful. They are all so different, but I liked all of them. My favorite was was 'Nymphs of the Sea,' with the impressive choreography of the fans. I have never seen anything like that before."
She was also impressed with the graciousness contained within the show: “The movements are very particular, and you wouldnīt find it somewhere else, itīs so gracious. I also liked that the men were really powerful, in comparison to the gracious and elegant women. Their small steps were beautiful.”
Daniella's sister also came along, “I liked the Mongolian Bowl Dance best but I think all the rest is absolutely fantastic, too. The dresses are incredible.”
