FRANKFURT—The opening of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in Frankfurt on Saturday drew praise from theater-goers as it began the first of a three-show run at Jahrhunderthalle (Century Hall).

During the intermission, Martin Schlagl and Heike Hallenberger smiled broadly, showing their appreciation of the show.

"I like the show very much," said Schlagel.

"Yes, many colors and lots of dancing, which is very nice." added Hallenberger. "Very very nice costumes, they are very different from our costumes here."

They said the dance called Drummers of the Tang Court left an especially deep impression on both of them.

They appreciated the high-tech backdrops and found the lyrics easy to understand, since the text was in German as well. They expressed the wish that the people in China would be able to see this Spectacular one day as well.

Performed by Divine Performing Arts on Tour, the Shen Yun Chinese Spectacular will play three shows in Frankfurt before continuing on to Berlin and Hamburg. For other shows in the Divine Performing Arts world tour, please visit: www.shenyun.eu
