FRANKFURT—"I really like it. It's amazing. You can learn lots about Chinese history," said Claudia Heberar, a journalist with Radio Frankfurt. "The act with the drums was very amazing and impressive."
Heberar was commenting on a show currently playing at Frankfurt's Century Hall — the Shen Yun Chinese Spectacular , which portrays China's ancient culture.
"I think I'll never have the possibility to travel to China so it's a good possibility to see something about it. I think it's very interesting that this show wouldn't be possible in China but we are able to see it here in Germany. I like the dances and I like the songs and I think it's a good idea to see the text of the songs in the background so I'm happy," said Heberar.
She added that she thought her friends would be interested in seeing the Spectacular.
"I think I'll tell my friends. I think it's especially interesting for people interested in Asia and I have a lot of friends who are interested in Buddhism and most of them have traveled to Thailand. I think I'll tell them they have to see it. I think it's so hard to know something about China and it's a good place here."
A member of a German-Chinese association who chose to remain anonymous said of the show, "The whole choreography, the dance and everything is phenomenal, excellent. The costumes, the harmony, the wisdom these ladies present, phenomenal, very good."
