DUISBURG—Catherine Aostert is a designer/decorator in a branch of a German Real Estate firm. She came to the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular to gain inspiration for her job from the Chinese dances, decorations and colors.

"The decoration is fantastic. One can learn a lot from the Chinese," said Aostert, who attended the Spectacular in Duisburg on Wednesday evening.

She was most impressed with the dance "Nymphs of the Sea," in which the performers were dressed in light-blue costumes and held fans from which hung long blue lace.

"The blending of the colors, the blue alone…I am getting ideas and inspiration for decorations."

"I'm really glad I came," said Aostert, who attended the Spectacular with her husband. "My husband and I are French, but live in Germany. We wanted to see about the show. The show is very, very beautiful."

Overall she said she found Chinese culture "extremely interesting."
