NEW YORK—On Feb 6, 2007 (Chinese New Year Day in China and the Eve in the U.S.), the Chinese New Year Splendor concluded its tenth performance at Radio City Music Hall.

Performed jointly by two dance companies, Divine Performing Arts of New York and Divine Performing Arts on Tour, together with the Divine Performing Arts Orchestra, the thousands of audience members' warm applause marked what was a climax thus far in the performance's tour.

Arthur Yu, a modeling artist from Beijing, watched the evening show. In an interview afterwards, Mr. Yu said, "It was very good. I think the Divine Performing Arts' performance delivers the very essence of the Chinese culture. It introduces the true Chinese culture to America."

China's Emerging Force Artistically Exhibits On the Stage

Mr. Yu said: "I didn't feel any political constraints in the Divine Performing Arts' program. It represents another voice of China, an active and positive voice. I think they did a pretty good job on this. There used to be only one voice in China."

He said, "I think this represents another kind of power, an emerging power of China that artistically exhibits on the stage. I believe China has more hope now since so many people are actively working on it in an artistic way."

"I think this is the torrents of spring. This is the second time I watched the show. I got to know from today's newspaper that there are more than 200 shows this year. This is an epoch-making event that helps greatly to promote the Chinese culture."

"It has a very far-reaching significance. It takes the form of arts to transfer another profound thinking. Divine Performing Arts did a very good job. There is no other power than this one that is able to compete with the only power in China [the Chinese Communist Party]. I think China has hope now."

Revitalizing the Spirit and Thinking of the Chinese Nation

"Divine Performing Arts' show is like a renaissance to China. So many people work on it, and their performance is so profound and professional that they have won the love, praise and affirmation from all around the world. I think it is exceptionally commendable. China has hope!"

"This is actually a kind of baptism to a lot of people. Divine Performing Arts is like a pastor that's baptizing the spirit and thinking of Chinese nation."

"China's first change should be the change of thinking and spirit. Divine Performing Arts is doing this great work."

"The Chinese people need this baptism, and they need it more than once. Many people probably can't accept it for the first time because China's decades of political movement is also another kind of "baptism", but with dirty and contaminated water. Divine Performing Arts use holy water, pure water and the water of the holy spirit, to reference Christianity."

"For a nation with a population of 1.3 billion, the change of its system would be the last one. The first change would be the renaissance, the change of thinking and spirit. Divine Performing Arts is working on the change and I think they are doing a very good job. I thank Divine Performing Arts on behalf of Chinese people."

The Diving Performing Arts Works for the Chinese Nation

Mr. Yu said, "The Divine Performing Arts does not work for a social organization in seeking personal gains. But she works for the whole Chinese Nation from the standpoint of a public spirit. This morning I watched the spring festival show on CCTV. It was very boring. The Divine Performing Arts and Falun Gong actually do not work for themselves but the whole nation."

"The Diving Performing Arts is improving the Chinese Nation's spirit and mind. And the Divine Performing Arts was lifted to such a high level. I believe her realm of thought is lofty."

"No organization in China including other political organization, including those in Taiwan, can rival the CCP from the aspect of thought and ideology. The point is that the CCP is faster in controlling your minds…. so it can manipulate the country's resources even your human rights. "

"I think the Diving Performing Arts made a breakthrough and carved out a new path in aspect of the ideology for the Chinese people not only for Falun Gong. The Divine Performing Arts is able to be against the CCP and exceed it in many aspects. Without adequate resources, it is a gratifying achievement for the Divine Performing Arts. I hope the Divine Performing Arts can be even better next year."
