DALLAS—Miss Asian-American of Texas 2007-2008 Allyn Hoang and her mother Ann Hoang attended the Chinese New Year Spectacular by the Divine Performing Arts at Dallas on Monday evening.

Allyn deeply loved the dance "Lady of the Moon." Her mother is a native of Vietnam, and "Lady of the Moon" is her mom's favorite story. This was the story that accompanied Allyn throughout her childhood. The dance "Lady of the Moon" made Allyn feel at home and rekindled for her many sweet memories.

Allyn liked all the dance performances. She thought the entire show was very professional and the dances very graceful. She especially admired the group spirit demonstrated by everyone involved. The flow was so smooth and everything was so very organized.

In addition to "Lady of the Moon," Allyn was also particularly impressed by a dance in which three ladies were persecuted. It reminded her of a demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises held at an Asian Festival two years ago. She simply could not understand why the peaceful Falun Gong practitioners would be so brutally persecuted by the Chinese communist government. Now she wants to learn more about Falun Gong.
