At the opening night of the Chinese New Year Splendor at Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday, Divine Performing Arts displayed the true Chinese culture to an impressed New York audience.

Suzanne Adams, Executive Director of the Foreign Press Association of New York, described the Splendor as "amazing."

"The costumes were, in a word, gorgeous. The use of color and the 'glitter' effect were magnificent."

Adams felt that in a particular sequence, the grace of the dancer's made the costumes become like an extension of their hands. The male dancers also struck her as "extraordinarily strong and graceful."

"The water sequence with the chiffon is beautifully done," she said, adding that she found the drum routines in the show "riveting."

"The synchronization of the dancing and the drums were well executed; the choreography in general was very well done."

The traditional costumes and the 3D digital backdrop have in particular left their mark on audiences. Adams also showered praise on these aspects of the Splendor.

"The visual effects are absolutely dazzling… The backdrops were artistic and creative and helped set the scene as it was intended to be viewed."

The Divine Performing Arts shows have been described by audiences around the world as unique. Adams seemed to feel the same way, saying that she would not compare the show to anything on Broadway.

"Story telling in a most charming manner," said Adams. "Spectacular — in the truest sense."
