SAN FRANCISCO—On the afternoon of January 26, the sixth performance of the Chinese New Year Spectacular in San Francisco by Divine Performing Arts was held at a packed Orpheum Theatre. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the audience applauded throughout the show.

The Spectacular left a deep impression in Mr. Zhu, a university professor from Shanghai.

"The performance was wonderful and of high caliber. The dances were so beautiful. I really liked the Loyalty of Yue Fei and Water Sleeves . This is real Chinese traditional culture and art," said Prof. Zhu.

Zhu continued, "It is not like those Red Guards' performances in mainland China, or like those other performances that cater to modern decadence. There is no real traditional things in mainland China now, the [performances there] are either for the needs of politics or produced by politicians."

Zhu expressed admiration for the Divine Performing Arts and New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) and said that they have made a great contribution to carry forward Chinese traditional culture.

With tears in his eyes, Zhu said, "I watch the show every year, and I still remember last year's show. I bought the tickets right after I saw this year's ad, and my seat is the best one for a $38 ticket. I rode a bike and subway to come to watch the show. It is almost the time for Chinese New Year now, I thank NTDTV and the Divine Performing Arts to bring us such wonderful New Year's gift."

Though professor Zhu did not leave his full name since he will go back to mainland China, he said he hopes that the Divine Performing Arts can go to mainland China to perform one day.

"It is impossible to see a show like this in mainland China, and Falun Gong has been suppressed so badly in mainland China. Only the Divine Performing Arts, NTDTV, The Epoch Times and the Sound of Hope dare to speak out for Falun Gong. I do not hate the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but the CCP has really lost the hearts of the people, the essence of the nation has been destroyed by them," said Zhu.

The Epoch Times is a proud sponsor of the Divine Performing Arts shows that will perform in over 60 cities worldwide in 2008. To find a show near you, please visit www.bestchineseshows.com.
