MINNEAPOLIS—Inspired by one of their Chinese co-workers, a group of seven nurses from the operation room at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital attended the Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Northrop Theater in Minneapolis last night.
"Co-worker, Wannan, who is originally from China, but living in the United States for the last 15 years, told us about the show. It was very interesting with a lot of symbolism. There will be lots to talk about at work when we compare notes," said Sarah Ulrich, a nurse at Fairview.
"We so enjoyed the show," said Christine Shannon. "It was awesome and uplifting."
"The drums were my favorite," added Liz Kortz.
The Chinese New Year Spectacular is heading to Chicago this weekend for three shows as part of its 65-city international tour.
