SAN FRANCISCO—On the third day of the Chinese New Year Spectacular in San Francisco, many people came out to see the show, including John Hoak, the President of the Rotary Club (in San Francisco)—the second oldest club in the world.
When asked what he thought about the performance, Hoak stated: "I enjoyed learning about Chinese culture and the messages that were emitting from their dancing. All of the performances were very interpretive, very enjoyable."
As for how his experience compared with his expectations, he replied: "It was different; it was even better than what I had anticipated."
Hoak elaborated on his feelings: "You could see the ballet, athleticism and gymnastics that had been incorporated in many of the dance pieces. It was incredible. They're very talented. The things they were doing were beyond my imagination."
"I look forward to making this an annual event. It's very beautiful, and I hope that the performance keeps coming back to San Francisco," he concluded.
