CHICAGO—The curtain opened to warm applause from the capacity audience as the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) concluded it's Chicago run on Saturday evening, January 26.
Ursula came to the Arie Crown Theatre to see the show for the first time. "My granddaughter brought me here. I found the show absolutely beautiful. I live upstate, so we had to drive for more than an hour to get here. Beautiful! Just beautiful! That's all I can say!"
Mary Mikas and her family were among those audience members seeing the Spectacular for the first time as well. "This show is absolutely magnificent! It's beautiful and colorful…just absolutely wonderful. I would even say that this show is very enlightening. I feel that I've learned so much about Chinese history just in the short time that I've been here tonight. I would definitely recommend this show to everyone else. I think that everybody should come to see this show."
Gloria Koukol a cashier from Brookfield, IL commented "Excellent. The best production I have ever seen. The scenery and the performance are excellent!"
Andy Prutch, an Art Director, Yorkville, IL "It is a pretty remarkable experience."
Bonnie Bijanowski heard about the Spectacular from an ad in the Chicago Tribune. "We decided to attend because we are going to visit China. We want to learn more about China." When asked about her thoughts of the show, she shared "The singing, the music, and the dancing were all excellent."
