LOS ANGELES─Saturday marked a full day at Los Angeles's Nokia Theater L.A. Live, with two sumptuous performances, one at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. At the 8 p.m. show's intermission, David Little and wife, Daisy, shared that they had brought six close friends with them, in honor of the Chinese New Year and traditional Chinese culture. They both were especially fond of the legend about the fairy on the moon.

Daisy was born in Shanghai. David has visited China twice, and said, "I have a great respect for the culture, which is why I dress like I do."

The Tinsons, who live in Riverside, represent three generations from New Orleans.

Vanessa would like her young daughter Zoe, to understand the show's cultural message of respect for elders, as well as respect for self. Zoe's grandmother, Beverly, absolutely agrees. Vanessa brought Zoe to Chinatown for the cultural experience, learned about the show, and bought tickets there.

Willy and Mirah Hamidjaja of Mission Viejo heard about Spectacular through KOST radio (one of the show sponsors.

Their favorite part was the drums.

The will defintely recommend the show to their friends.

The Chinese New Year Spectacular will be in Los Angeles for one more show on Sunday at 2 p.m., then will go to Las Vegas on Jan. 21 and Michigan on Jan. 22, and then to San Francisco Jan. 23–26.
