LOS ANGELES─Angelenos came out on this Saturday evening to watch the Divine Performing Arts Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Nokia Theater - LA.'s new spacious state of the art performance venue which holds 7,100 seats. Among those at the performance were Lydia Smith from Los Angeles and her 11 year old daughter Jasmine, who was rewarded with the tickets for improved grades in math and history.

"I really enjoyed the whole show," says Smith, "but I really liked the waterfall."

Smith said that she learned a great deal about Chinese culture from the show and from reading the program brochure, which she found very informative.

"I learned that the New Years is a joyous celebration and about the costumes."

She also found NTDTV (New Tang Dynasty TV) to be very interesting.

The show will travel to Las Vegas and then San Francisco after it leaves LA.

The Spectacular will be in Los Angeles for one more show on Sunday afternoon at 2pm, followed with the Hilton Theater in Las Vegas on January 21, then the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco for seven performances from January 23–26.
