LOS ANGELES—Enthusiastic theater-goers poured into the lobby Saturday evening of the Nokia Theatre in downtown L.A., greeted by Chinese women hostesses in colorful traditional dress for the Chinese New Year Spectacular.
Theresa Lam, from Diamond Bar was elegantly dressed in black for the show. Her favorite piece she said, was the opening scene depicting heaven.
"I love the idea of the fairies and goddesses descending, and appearing through the screen," she mused.
Lam also commented on the beauty of the costumes, and the graceful movement of the dancers.
Really impressive and moving to Lam, who came to the United States from China when she was 13, was the rich history that was conveyed in the performance.
She is now thinking about bringing a guest with her tomorrow before the show moves on to Las Vegas and then San Francisco.
