The billboard has the words written in Chinese: "30 million have quit the Chinese Communist party (and its affiliated associations)—people are awakening—Have you quit?"
According to the data from Quit The CCP website, at present, more than 30 million have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated associations. Ms. Li, from the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP, said this billboard was displayed to tell the Chinese community in Los Angeles what is happening in China, and to remind those who have yet to quit the party to renounce their membership. Thus this is also a billboard of conscience.
Qu Zheng, an Epoch Times columnist, said the Chinese people are afraid to voice their anger and dissatisfaction under the harsh and autocratic regime of the CCP. The purpose of this billboard is to tell the Chinese people that you have the right to express your thoughts. Qu said, "The purpose of putting up this billboard is to let every Chinese, irregardless of whether they are in or outside of China, know that quitting the CCP is a very common and simple act. It is also a just and honorable deed. Everyone has the same right, although you were deceived into joining the CCP or its affiliated association. Today, one still has the right to quit."
Liu Yi, a volunteer for the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP said that many Chinese are dissatisfied with the CCP but are afraid to voice their thoughts. This billboard can boost the courage of those Chinese who fear the revenge of the CCP.
Qu said that the CCP is very fearful of the wave of mass resignations. It is afraid to let overseas and domestic Chinese including international societies know about this movement. Since the beginning of the Quit the CCP movement, the regime has continuously used all means to block news on the mass resignations, including creating Internet blocks and suppressing mainland volunteers active in this movement. Its purpose is to hide this information from the Chinese public and the international society. The CCP does not want people to know that the CCP is facing such crisis.
Ms. Li said, "30 million have quit the CCP. This is an indication that the Chinese are awakening. This number is continuously increasing."
Qu thinks that because the number of people quitting the CCP is increasing, its collapse is imminent. By publicizing the mass resignations from the CCP, more people will realize that they should also quit. This will result in the regime's total disintegration. Just like a large building, when the bricks are removed one by one, eventually, the building will collapse.
