Twenty-Five From a Guangxi Family Quit CCP

A woman from China's Guangxi Province who chose to remain anonymous volunteered to help 25 family members withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This is only one case among many that happened in the "Quit the CCP" tide.

The woman said to Sound of Hope reporters in an interview on August 8, "I have 25 people who want to quit (the CCP). They are all my family members and are very supportive of people quitting the Party. They used to work for the government, and they have seen enough of the bad deeds that the regime has committed."

The CCP's corruption has hurt many people in Guangxi. The authority has flooded farmlands to make way for hydro-electric power stations in Dahua City. The money that was supposed to used to compensate the farmers was pocketed by the corrupt officials. This led to a large-scale farmers' protest in July of 2007, which was met by suppression of the police.

The Guangxi woman said the regime's corruption does not stop here. "In my city, houses from an entire city block have been demolished [for real state development]. The government does not provide any compensation or housing provision, but only to force people out of their homes. No rental houses or other housing arrangements are made. Now, people from the entire block have gone to appeal to the government."

"But appealing has no use," she said. "I have visited many offices, including those from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the central government's Organization Department. But it becomes so clear to me that appeal does not serve any use at all."

The corruption and degeneration of the CCP have only become worse. Government posts are treated as merchandise that can be bought with money. This is an open secret. She said, "The post of chief in a police station is worth between 20,000 to 30,000 yuan (US$ 2,600 to 3,900). The price is clearly tagged."

As of August 27, more than 25 million Chinese have declared their withdrawals from the CCP organizations.
