"I greatly enjoyed it. The songs with deep content reverberated in the heart," said Inge Schiffer from Bedburg.
Schiffer said the stage design of the Spectacular created a fabulous picture of China.
"I was deeply impressed. My favorite was the dance 'Candlelight Vigil.' I was deeply touched and it helped me reflect on the world around me. I felt like this about the entire Spectacular. It was beautiful."
Sandra from Moenchen Glabach received an invitation from a friend
"It was wonderful," said Sandra. "I'm sure that I understood everything that I should have understood. It was a positive feeling. It was just beautiful! Whatever was said about the Chinese culture was interesting to hear."
Andre Schiffer, a 14 year-old student from Windeck by Sieg River
"The Gala was beautiful."
He continued, "I found it very fascinating how the different stage's in ones life were depicted and how the individual characters brought out the feelings."
Schiffer then named some of his favorite characters.
"The hero, who first swayed back-and-forth but then found his way.
"…The sculptor, who fell asleep at work. Then, he had a heavenly dream or a vision which lead him to continue work happily and enthusiastically.
"The singers were also very good. I really liked the lyrics of the songs.
"Everything in the Spectacular fell in place."
"The Spectacular was colorful and beautiful. It was rather interesting to find out about another culture. We experienced a really pleasant atmosphere.
Renate Schulz and Waltraud Rotte, both from Berlin, had no prior interest in China
They received an advertisement to the Spectacular from the Linden Center. "It was worthwhile to see the Spectacular. The movements were very graceful and smooth. We really are not used to this."
"The Spectacular was fascinating. Most of all I enjoyed the serene and melancholic music."

"Beautiful! Great stage designs with different pictures and areas of that country [China].
The sculptors dream and the depiction of the Buddhas and other figures which came to life—how is this possible? It was very touching and beautiful. The songs with their lyrics made a deep impression."
Patricia Hahnbauer from Vienna had no interest in Chinese culture before she saw the Spectacular. She saw the promotional video on Internet and decided to come see the show.
"I liked the dances the most, especially the dances with the lady dancers. They wore beautiful costumes and their skills were perfect."
Andreas Hess and Matthias Mueller were awarded a ticket from a regional radio station.
"I was impressed with the Spectacular. It was very informative. It showed me the traditional Chinese culture. I was especially fascinated with the depiction of Tiananmen Square and the dance troupes."
