New Tang Dynasty's Chinese New Year Spectacular played to a sold-out audience at Conrad Jupiters on Queensland's Gold Coast. The audience sat enthralled by the colour, beauty and gracefulness of the traditional Chinese performances and applauded enthusiastically at the end of each number.

The Gold Coast has grown from a holiday destination mecca, because of its exquisite beaches, to become a full-fledged cultural centre in South-East Queensland. Such high-quality productions as the Spectacular are now seeking out venues on the Gold Coast, which is also home to Australia's globally recognised movie industry.

Singer Gary Enzweiler said: "It was just so beautiful, the colours and the whole energy, the whole performance, each one was so unique." (The Epoch Times)

Gary Enzweiler, a musician and singer from Queensland's Sunshine Coast, said: "The part with the waterfall, when the girls were swaying, you felt like you just melted in with them, like in with the grotto. It was just so beautiful, the colours and the whole energy, the whole performance, each one was so unique. It's more than just a performance. A lot of what's going on [with other music], it's been really an aberration, it's been really destructive to the spirit rather than uplifting the spirit."

Gold Coast resident Vera was deeply touched by the elegance of the movements and the profundity of the songs. (The Epoch Times)

A woman from the Gold Coast named Vera shared that she always looked for "the deeper spiritual message" in performances and that she found the Spectacular deeply rewarding in this regard. The beauty of the costumes, the elegance of the movements and the profundity of the songs touched her deeply. She stated that she would definitely come back next year for another show.

Mrs Ushemehda, a housewife from India, reflected thoughtfully: "I liked it very much. We have been visiting many Chinese restaurants and I enjoy very much the Chinese music. Creation is humanity from the godly – very nice programmes. The performance has a very high purpose, not only entertainment – it is blessed, I should say. The dancers are giving very rich explanations."

Due to the enthusiastic reception the Spectacular has received around the world, the show has extended its global performances to include New Zealand, Korea and Taiwan after Australia.
