Most of New York is ready for spring and found it at Radio City Music Hall. The Friday evening performance of NTDTV's Chinese New Year was warmly received, as dancers swept onto the stage for "Forsythia in Spring." Audience reactions ranged from deep appreciation to sheer amazement. There seemed to be a connection with a traditional culture not often seen.
More and more people are coming to enjoy the Spectacular's presentation of traditional Chinese culture. The Friday night performance was full, and the audience was enthusiastic about the performances and the boisterous hosts.
Maria Diaz from Mexico said "The show is very nice. I liked the Mongolian Bowl Dance the best... I love Chinese culture. My Chinese friend invited me and I love her culture."

Macanda Block from Houston, Texas, said, "I really enjoyed the show, especially the Mongolian Bowl Dance. Their skill was amazing."
Kent Zhou, originally from mainland China and now residing in Queens, liked "The Monk Who Endured," especially the idea behind it. Kent has also known about the Spectacular for many years. He was pleasantly surprised at how many dancers performed. He was "glad that they [NTDTV] were promoting Chinese culture and the values of China" and gave "compliments for their effort. The music and costumes were great."
Maria and Denis Liveratos, from Queens and New York, said that the show was "very, very nice." They saw the promotions on TV and in newspapers. They "loved the costumes." Because he is Greek and values his own heritage, Denis felt "very proud" that ancient cultures are being presented so well.

William Brewton, Manhattan, said "I very much enjoyed the show. The colors, the dance, they were very professional." He thought the Erhu was beautifully done, and like the final performance with the drums as well. William said that "the Chinese are looking for family values, and they are very important." He felt this was brought out through the show.

Many felt that the drum performance were the best. "The drums were great." Frank, from Stanford CT, commented, "I liked the colors. The music was great." He was impressed with the colors and brightness. Lucy Zhou, Flushing, commented, "It's amazing that the show can put 2000 years of culture into a two-hour show."
Masai, from Japan, felt that the show was "heartwarming" and liked the Erhu performance, the Mongolian horses and the ribbon dance.
