CCP Attacks Spectacular Website on Eve of Chinese New Year Show

On Friday, February 16th, at 7:30 pm EST, the Chinese Communist Party attempted to bring down shows.ntdtv.com, the main portal website for New Tang Dynasty's Chinese New Year Spectacular show.

The attack, which brought down the server for at least an hour, was right before the Friday night showing in Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

NTDTV's network administrators raced to bring the server back up, and eventually the website was up and running.

CCP hackers brought down the site through an attack known as "Denial of Service," whereby several remote computers continually send junk data packets to the central server, eventually slowing the server to crawl and perhaps ultimately crashing it.

The attack on the Spectacular website is the latest in a series of attacks on New Tang Dynasty's global Spectacular shows. The CCP has previously intimidated show sponsors, jammed the ticket hotlines, threatened performers and influenced media covering the show.
