Some people come to Atlantic City to visit casinos, but many enjoyed much more at Caesars Circus Maximus Theater. Continuing its run, Holiday Wonders wowed the audience in presenting traditional Chinese dance, stories, and music.

There are many diversions in this Caesars franchise, but Anna Csorgo, retired teacher and New Jersey resident, came to enjoy traditional Chinese culture this holiday season. "This is a pleasure, a gift. The show was beautiful. I was trained in opera in Hungary and I love Chinese culture. I'm very excited to know about Chinese culture. I think that is fantastic to keep their own culture. I know what it means. It took me to heaven."

Two high school students, senior Alexa Fox and freshman Anthony Calise, thought the show was visually stunning. Alexa said, "You felt you were absorbed into the culture." They loved tenor Hong Ming, whose name literally means "grand voice." They thought he definitely had a grand voice. Alexa from Chester County, PA and Anthony from Delaware County, PA came with their families and said "This was not your typical casino show. It was deeper than that."

Retired New Jersey resident Mary Ellen got a ticket as a gift from her daughter because her daughter thought she would really appreciate it. "It's very peaceful. I feel very peaceful. And it's graceful and heavenly. I love the backdrops. It gives you the feeling as if you are part of the scene."

Jack and Carol Crozier, West Palm Beach, FL said: "We loved it. The dancing, the costumes and performers in both Chinese and English."

Carol, a lawyer specializing in elder law, said, "We are happy to see that all people are together, and we wish our governments were the same. We liked the part of Falun Gong, while stopping the police from grabbing the little girl from her mother, with the banner that says 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.' It brought tears to my eyes."

Mrs. Katcher, retired from Manchester NJ said, "I loved the part about good overcoming evil. They were supposedly cops beating up the mother and her girl and the people stopped them. They stood up for their rights."

A group of junior high school students, all adopted from China and Vietnam, loved different parts of the show. Devon said, "I loved the dance with the cups (Mongolian bowl dance) and learned that truthfulness and faith are customs in China."

Morgan concurred, "I loved the drummers and I learned they are very passionate and have compassion in China.

Emily: "My favorite is 'Watersleeves' and the fan dances.

Kim: "I learned about truthfulness. My favorite is also 'Watersleeves.'

Elizabeth: "I learned about compassion and my favorite is the two kids in the temple. They did cool dancing."

Frank Cui, materials engineer from Delaware, commented, "The show is great to see. I was moved to tears. My boys also liked it."

It's been said the innocence of the performers makes the ultimate production. With one surprise after another, coupled with rich and original music, Holiday Wonders takes one back in time and into the future.
