The North Carolina Holiday Wonders promotions team held a press conference lunch event in Greensboro, N.C. on Dec. 13, 2007. "A Taste of Ancient China" was held at a popular Chinese buffet restaurant. Members of the media were invited to have a full Chinese buffet lunch while watching a professional erhu (Chinese violin) player perform several numbers. Ladies dressed in traditional Chinese costumes added to the theme of Chinese traditional culture. The audience was also treated to a colorful slideshow of previous Holiday Wonders shows.

The spokesperson said, "We are... just giving you a tiny taste of true traditional Chinese culture. The Divine Performing Arts troupe are professionals and they will give you the main feast when they arrive." He said they all shared a passionate interest in China and its culture. That was the main reason they were working to promote the Holiday Wonders show after New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) of New York gave the group permission to host the show in North Carolina for the first time. He said NTDTV and the Divine Performing Arts troupe use Chinese classical dance, dazzling costumes, stunning backdrops and wonderful music to make ancient Chinese and true traditional Chinese culture come alive for the audience. This makes the how not only entertaining but also educational, he said.

The lunch event included several pieces from Mr. Li, the professional erhu player. The team members talked about Chinese classical dance, ancient Chinese costumes and traditional Chinese music. Colorful slides of costumes and dances from previous shows were presented.

Holiday Wonders, presented by NTDTV and performed by the Divine Performing Arts troupe, both based out of New York City, debuts in North Carolina at the Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte on December 19 and 20. NTDTV's Holiday Wonders and Chinese New Year Spectacular series will be performed in 30 countries on 3 continents in front of an estimated total audience of 650,000 in 2008.
