In China today, inflation continues while salaries have remained the same. It is said that at Bank of China the average yearly salary is about 100,000 yuan (US $12,500). At other Chinese banks, executives make about 80,000 yuan per year. But for an average bank clerk the wage has remained at 12,000 yuan per year since 1996.
With each new reform of the workplace, workers lose rights and benefits. The companies that have stock sales are even worse, as they offer even lower salaries and benefits to lower-level employees. For example, in the coal industry, the average yearly bonus for middle management is about 100,000 yuan, but miners receive at best the yearly bonus of 3,000 yuan, and their salaries are even lower than before.
This is really unfair! With so many people looking for jobs and so few positions available, pay rates have been miserably low. If the Chinese writer Lu Xun were still alive, he would say the society under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is one of people eating people.
In the CCP-controlled China, corruption has become more and more widespread. In an administrative unit, such as a security department, workers lose opportunities for advancement if they do not pay a bribe to their supervisors. For example, traffic police are often forced to bribe their superiors with gifts of 5,000 to 10,000 yuan each year.
The so called "economic reform" of the CCP is only designed to cheat people.
I have often advised my own children to seek employment in a democratic country such as the United Sates after they graduate from college. My colleague Li Yang has sent his only child to America for a better future. Many of the top Chinese engineering students have immigrated to Canada for better jobs and pay.
Many affluent families send their children to Japan to study. We are extremely frustrated with China's current situation, and we are unwilling to have our children remain in China.
Only recently have I been able to break through the CCP's internet blockade using anti-block software, and this allows me to read about the truth from overseas websites. How evil is the CCP that has blocked the free internet access.
I hereby declare my resignation from the CCP, the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers.
