On July 29, 2006, The Epoch Times held an event to support the over 12 million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) at Karlsplatz in Munich, the biggest city in southern Germany.
Karlsplatz, located in the busiest area in Munich, is full of pedestrians and tourists all year round. On the square, Falun Gong practitioners simulated the CCP's brutal act of forced organ removal from living Falun Gong practitioners in China's labor camps.
Once the operation table was set up, people immediately came over to inquire. When people realized that the persecution of Falun Gong is still taking place in China, especially the recently revealed organ harvesting, they were shocked and infuriated. Many signed the petition to stop the CCP's atrocities.

There were also quite a few tourists from mainland China walking through Karlsplatz. After they read some information about the Tiananmen Square Massacre, persecution of underground church members and forced organ removal from live Falun Gong practitioners, many of them took the reading materials and talked to volunteers from The Epoch Times. Some even signed up to withdraw from the CCP on the spot.

Before the CCP's Army Day, the widespread distribution of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, has contributed to the number of people who have declared their withdrawal from the CCP and its affiliated organizations on the Epoch Times' Tuidang (Quit the CCP) website reaching 12 million.
