After hearing that the former Canadian Secretary of State (Asian-Pacific), David Kilgour, and world-renowned human rights attorney, David Matas, had established an independent investigation group to investigate the organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners and cremation of their bodies afterwards, Chinese human rights attorney Mr. Gao Zhisheng expressed his respect for the two gentlemen and invited the group to conduct investigations in mainland China. Gao said that he would do everything in his power to cooperate and support the group's efforts. Below is a transcript of Gao's words.
Dear Mr. David Kilgour and David Matas:
At present, my telephone lines and Internet connections are cut off and so I can only communicate via reporters and the media. I deeply admire your attention and concern for human justice. At the same time, on behalf of the members of The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG), I am extending an oral invitation for you to inspect the situation in China.
However, I would like to warn Mr. Kilgour, a Member of Parliament for 26 years in a democratic nation, and Mr. Matas, my esteemed fellow attorney, of the malevolent nature of the tyrannical Chinese communist regime. Even if you are granted visas to China, you must be mentally prepared for the many shocking experiences to come. When the United Nations high-ranking official Manfred Nowak visited China, secret agents were constantly at his side, even when he took his meals.
I am extremely glad that Western politicians and attorneys are supporting this cause. This is due to the Chinese people's continuous efforts in clarifying the truth to the public. If they have not moved the heaven and earth, they at least obtained some positive feedback from the human world.
I also wish that overseas media put emphasis on Mr. Kilgour's and Mr. Matas's morality and righteous values. This will allow the world to see that people in support of justice are esteemed worldwide and that their actions receive affirmation continuously. Your words and deeds are extremely rare in present western society. For instance, what can we expect from people like Kofi Annan? Besides having hundreds of Chinese people on his account, what can they accomplish in China?
You might worry about my safety for extending this invitation. However, the dangers that I face are neither from inviting or supporting you. Because we are dealing with an evil totalitarian system, the perils that the Chinese people encounter are ever-present. What is the source of such dangers? They originate from the inhumane communist regime and not as a result of the people's behavior. What had the millions of corpses done wrong to warrant their death? I also recommend Mr. Kilgour and Mr. Matas read the three open letters that I wrote regarding the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The letters may be helpful in obtaining a more detailed description of the situation.
In expressing my gratitude to Mr. Kilgour and Mr. Matas I also want to make everyone aware that we have the duty to remind all the people of the world, of the brutality of the Chinese communist regime, their killing of innocent lives, and their deliberate trampling of human rights. They are not only targeting the Chinese people, but also a threat to the respect of humankind. These outrageous actions have already been perpetrated in China for 57 years! However, it is in the recent seven years that their persecution against Falun Gong has become even more brutal and has gone to extremes. Humankind should not be silent any longer. If we continue to be silent it would only cause the tyrannical communist regime to commit more crimes and this will no longer be merely their committing a crime, it will also be that humankind is cooperating with them by not stopping them.
The action of these two gentlemen can benefit the future China. However, we must remember that this is a historical project, that this is the making of the history of mankind. Even though there are very few dictatorships, the Chinese communist regime controls one fifth of the world's population. They are still exterminating human bodies and souls. This is indeed a project for the entire humankind.
I want to tell Mr. Kilgour directly that, "China has no government! Please do not take those people dressed up in tuxes as the government! This is the world's largest criminal group since the beginning of human history. You can speak to me through a translator. Of everything that we have been through, which of these events could have been done by a government?! In just the past six months many things have happened to my family and which one can you say is an act by a civil government? I won't go so far as to raise them to the status of a government. Which one of these incidents would be perpetrated by a civilized man, done by anyone with even a little understanding of the human civilization and human dignity?! The regime led by Hu Jintao did all this! With all due respect to Mr. Kilgour and Mr. Matas, we ask that you do not underestimate the evil of the communist regime. There is evil unimaginable by humans, but there is no evil that the communists would not do. I can tell you all that until today, every morning I was spied on closely even during my morning exercises! Until today, when I was expressing my gratitude and sending out invitations to Mr. Kilgour and Mr. Matas, there were a group of spies lurking within two to three meters of me. This is a most shameful action. However, this is all done by the Chinese communist regime, or rather, the group called the "Chinese government."
This so-called "danger" is to be sentenced to jail by the Chinese Communist Party—if we all back off because of this fear, then who will step up?
We hope that you accept our invitation and come to China. As long as we can achieve our freedom, we will do anything within our power to support and cooperate with you.
