The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) openly condemns the Chinese communist regime's persecution and illegal sentencing of attorney Gao Zhisheng.
Gao Zhisheng was one of first people from mainland China to join CIPFG, an international organization.
After the story broke of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) harvesting organs from large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners in 2006, Gao—with the same righteous courage as when he wrote three open letters to Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao—openly condemned the harvesting of organs from living people.
Gao then immediately joined the CIPFG, which is going to conduct an international investigation in China to stop this new form of evil.
However, before the CIPFG overseas members could enter mainland China, the CCP regime illegally arrested Gao and after a secret and unlawful trial, sentenced Gao just before Christmas.
The CIPFG demands that the regime in China:
- Immediately withdraw the illegal verdict against Gao Zhisheng;
- Immediately stop the illegal surveillance, harassment, and imposed house arrest of Gao and his family;
- Immediately reinstate Gao Zhisheng's law license so he can unconditionally resume practicing his profession.
The persecution of Gao Zhisheng or any CIPFG member will not stop our investigation into the persecution of Falun practitioners in China. We firmly believe all crimes of the CCP, including the persecution of Gao Zhisheng, will become known to all. The CCP regime will receive the strictest trial and be dealt such justice as never seen before in history.
Background
The CIPFG Australia delegation and the Asia delegation have recently been established and formally launched. The Australia delegation has more than 70 members, including several members of the Federal Parliament, human rights activists, and religious leaders.
The Asia delegation has 118 members with congressmen, local council speakers, councilmen, heads of administrations, human rights activists, attorneys, medical doctors, scholars, and heads of non-governmental organizations.
The North America delegation and Europe delegation will be established in the near future.
