TORONTO - On June 3 NTDTV-Canada's offices received a threatening letter, the fourth death-threat sent to NTDTV-Toronto within two months.

At about 11:00 a.m. on June 3, more than ten police vans and fire engines arrived outside the office building of NTDTV-Canada, responding to a report that NTDTV received mail that contained a small amount of white powder. This is the fourth threatening letter it has received. The police indicated that there was a 97 percent possibility that the white powder could be boric acid.

NTDTV-Canada in Toronto is applying to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) for a broadcasting license. Possibly the threats are an attempt to stop the process.

NTDTV has, since its establishment, always followed its principles in accurately reporting to the world all that is happening in China, including those facts that the Chinese Communist Party has been trying very hard to cover up, such as the June 4th Tiananmen incident, SARS, Falun Gong. NTDTV has also covered the shocking impact of The Epoch Times’ “Nine Commentaries on the CCP.” Reporting on these stories is strictly forbidden inside China, but because of the efforts of NTDTV, the truth is now available to Chinese people throughout the world.

At this moment the NTDTV is applying to the CRTC for a cable TV. This means that the NTDTV will broadcast Canada-wide 24 hours a day, and more Chinese migrants will be able to watch all NTDTV programs directly.

Dr. Wang Shaojiu, President of NTDTV-Canada, said, “This incident clearly targets Falun Gong and NTDTV. You can ask around, who is the one right now that is persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China? And who is the one that is spreading anti-Falun Gong propaganda to incite hatred outside of China? Who canceled two of our reporters’ visas to China in January? Who is it that manipulated Eutelsat through economic and diplomatic means to terminate NTDTV’s broadcast to Asia? The Chinese Communist Party is definitely behind this. They tried to use such dirty means to block NTDTV. But we are here to solemnly tell you, the CCP, we will not be threatened by these terrorist acts. We ensure our NTDTV audience; we will continue to transmit uncensored information to you.”

The Toronto Police, Fire Brigade, Harmful Substance Examination Center and Toronto Emergency Brigade all arrived on the scene. The police said this was absolutely not a typical terrorist action, and they will thoroughly investigate to find out the criminals behind it.
