Over 1,000 Artists to be Represented at Art Expo

Primarily, though, it’s a place for home decorators and art lovers to explore what’s happening, meet artists, and maybe purchase something they love.

NEW YORK—When ArtExpo comes back to town on March 21–24, visitors will be able to enjoy the works of 240 exhibitors representing over 1,000 artists. Everything from glasswork, fine art, crafts, sculpture, folk art, and mixed media pieces will be on view. Many exhibitors and artists are coming from other parts of the globe.

“That’s the beauty of ArtExpo. There’s no one area that’s heavily represented,” said Eric Smith, CEO of Artexpo International.

Most of the artworks on show will be from contemporary artists working in a multitude of mediums and styles.

“It’s a place that’s a springboard for mid-career artists,” Smith said. “They’ve sold some work, developed some clientele, and are ready to broaden their base.”

ArtExpo has been for 35 years a place for art collectors, gallery owners, art consultants, architects, designers, dealers, and industry writers to suss out the current talents whose works are worth investing in and whose careers are worth watching. Lectures and panels on art business are available to anyone interested. Primarily, though, it’s a place for home decorators and art lovers to explore what’s happening, meet artists, and maybe purchase something they love.

In total, 20,000 people are expected to attend over the course of four days, according to Smith. For more information, visit www.artexponewyork.com.
